Prologue

My name is Taylor Grant and I'm from Waterboro, Maine. It's small town about 45 minutes from Portland. A fun media experience I had over vacation was watching the film called "The Town", which takes place in Boston, Massachusetts.

The main characters rob a Cambridge bank and take the bank manager hostage. The FBI gets involved and they go through some epic encounters with them. I wont go into that much detail though. Through out the movie, it showed some great visuals of how they use their surroundings to help them successfully rob the bank. One thing I like about the 21st century media is how easy it is to communicate with one another. The options are endless with technology. From texting to facebook, instead of just emailing. It's also something I don't like. Since it's so easy to contact someone, everyone is either on their phones or on their computers. With all this new technology it seems to create more laziness. You don't see kids going outside playing as much as they use to, or just hanging out without one person on their phone. I'm currently undeclared, so I'm no sure where my profession is going. I just know that I like to be involved and always learning. So all I can really do for now is soak up everything that comes at me.
